Tony Hart was born in 1954 to home missionary parents, Dr. B. Sam and Joyce Hart. He was born in Boston and the family moved to Philadelphia while Tony was still a preschooler and so Philadelphia became his true hometown. As the son of an evangelist and church planter, Tony was exposed to many areas of ministry from his youth. He has preached in large area-wide crusades, lead several international mission trips, been involved in camping, and served as a youth pastor, associate pastor and senior pastor, over a period of more than 35 years in ministry. He has 8 years experience in radio station management as General Manager of WYIS. As President of GOGF Ministries he has gained experience in program production, as well as syndication of the Grand Old Gospel Hour, a 30 minute weekly radio program, which is heard both nationally and internationally. In 1992, he took over as Senior Pastor of Montco Bible Fellowship, in Lansdale, PA and in 1998 he took over from his father as President of the GOGF Ministries.
He married Carol in 1977, his partner in ministry and the love of his life. They have four children, a daughter and three sons, and seven grandchildren. All of their children have made a profession of faith in Christ and Tony and Carol are praying that as they now enter adulthood, they will each find their place in ministry.
Tony has taken his education seriously and earned an undergraduate degree from the Philadelphia College of Bible, now known as Cairn University. He has also earned a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry from Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA. He has served as an adjunct professor for Cairn University, Biblical Theological Seminary and Eastern Baptist Seminary now known as Palmer Seminary. Through the ministry of GOGF, he also offers pastoral training in several developing countries where Bible training is unavailable to many. He serves the broader community of God by sitting on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the National Religious Broadcasters, and on the board of Crossworld. He is involved with his local community and serves on the directional committee for North Penn Partnership of Churches in Lansdale, PA. Tony has written monthly columns for the local newspaper and is the author of two books “Winning Is Everything” and “2 Tablets for Your Marriage.”
